UBER
Chope King
Ride sharing services like Uber are a good solution to traffic congestion in Singapore. To spark conversation amongst Singaporeans about rising car ownership and overcrowded parking spaces, we launched a new, one-of-a-kind parking lot reservation service: “Chope King”.
‘Chope’ is a local Singaporean slang which means to reserve a place - usually with a packet of tissue.
In this tongue-in-cheek campaign, we created a giant tissue pack and left it in empty parking lots around Singapore.
In no time, netizens spread the news like wildfire. Once the conversation was at its height, we revealed that Uber was behind the prank and began to communicate the benefits of ride sharing over car ownership.
